Achieving a mirror finish on alumina ceramic sheets presents significant challenges for two main reasons: first, the high hardness of alumina makes it difficult to grind; second, its strong light-absorbing surface property makes it hard to achieve a mirror effect with conventional polishing methods. These factors greatly increase the difficulty of polishing alumina ceramics. In response to these processing challenges, Jizhi Electronics has developed mature polishing techniques and specialized slurries for alumina ceramics, offering comprehensive polishing solutions.

For customer alumina ceramic sheets requiring mirror finishing, the traditional process often involves initial rough grinding with an iron disc followed by polishing with a white cloth. However, this method is inefficient, with the white cloth polishing step alone taking 30-40 minutes to achieve a mirror finish. Such low efficiency is unacceptable for batch processing. Jizhi Electronics’ solution combines CMP polishing slurry and pads to enable rapid grinding and polishing of alumina ceramic surfaces. This approach significantly improves processing efficiency and yield, successfully achieving the required mirror effect.
