Sapphire crystals possess excellent optical, mechanical, and chemical stability, with high strength, hardness, and resistance to erosion. They can operate under harsh conditions at temperatures nearing 2000°C.
Sapphire is primarily used in LED substrates, watch lenses, and is widely applied in infrared military devices, satellite space technology, and as window materials for high-intensity lasers. It serves as an ideal substrate material for practical semiconductor applications such as GaN/Al₂O₃ light-emitting diodes (LEDs), large-scale integrated circuits (SOI and SOS), and guided nanostructure thin films.
Currently, sapphire polishing slurries and grinding fluids in China still largely rely on imports. After years of continuous research and development, our company has successfully created sapphire grinding fluids and polishing slurries that achieve high performance, with a thinning rate of 2 μm per minute and cost-effectiveness. These products can effectively address issues such as excessive smoke generation encountered by other domestic manufacturers.
The sapphire polishing process involves three stages: coarse grinding, fine grinding, and polishing.
